KES-QM Warm/Cool Feeling qmax Measurement Tester

KES-QM Warm/Cool Feeling qmax Measurement Tester

It is a high-precision testing instrument developed by Kato Tech Co., Ltd. of Japan (formerly known as the KES-F7). It is used to quantify the contact cool/warm sensation of textiles, fabrics, and other materials, expressed as the qmax value.

The instrument simulates the instantaneous heat-transfer process that occurs when human skin comes into contact with a material. It is widely used in the research, development, and quality control of cooling fabrics for summer wear, thermal underwear for winter, and bedding products.

  • Standard

    • GB/T 35263-2017 紡織品 接觸瞬間涼感性能的檢測和評價
    • CNS15687, L3272 織物瞬間涼感性能試驗法
    • JIS L 1927 接觸冷感性能的評價方法
  • Product Features

    • qmax Index: Measures the maximum heat flux (qmax) at the instant the human body comes into contact with a material. A higher qmax value indicates a stronger cooling sensation.
    • Simulation of Human Touch: Equipped with a thermal sensing plate that simulates contact between human skin and the material, accurately reproducing the actual tactile sensation.
    • Multiple Testing Modes: Supports both dry and wet testing and can calculate thermal conductivity and heat retention rate.
    • Automation and Accuracy: Equipped with a fully automatic sampler capable of performing up to 10 consecutive measurements in a single run, minimizing human error.
